Here at Ford Mill Farm we are passionate about our livestock. Ensuring they live as naturally as possible. Free to behave as they are supposed to.
Our hens are all free range. They have a large enclosure to enjoy themselves in, and a beautiful henhouse to lay those delicious eggs. Fantastic bright yellow/orange yolks and so tasty!
We are building up our own collection of free range pedigree Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs, classed as a rare breed. We are proud members of the Gloucestershire Old Spot Breeders Club and the British Pig Association. All our livestock get masses of personal attention (some might even say they are spoilt!) and we get to know each other very well. They all have wonderful, individual personalities and are extremely friendly. They are definitely pampered pigs!
The bloodlines we have at the moment are:
Primrose
Ellen Princess Mary
Dahlia Countess
Dolly Muriel
Gerald (boar)
All piglets are birth notified with the BPA, and only those that are of good breed standard will be registered. They are all tagged, tattooed and wormed at weaning.
We regularly have weaners and breeding stock for sale. Please give us a call to let us know what you are looking for. If we don't have what you would like, we might be able to put you in touch with another breeder that could help.
Weaners available:
Next available weaners available at the end of of Jan/beg of Feb and then again the beginning of March.
More gilts and sows are due to farrow in February and April and I wean them at around 8 weeks, so ready to go to their new homes at around 9 - 10 weeks old.
We are always pleased to talk to you about what we are doing here. Either call us on 01409 241514, or come and take a look around.
